Tenerife is the largest of the seven islands that make up the archipelago of the Canary Islands, situated in the Atlantic Ocean off the African coast. The island has an area of 3,208 km square, which offers an impressive volcanic landscape (rock formations with incredible shapes and colors), as well as an enviable number of plant and animal species.

Like the rest of the Canary Islands, in fact, Tenerife is volcanic in origin and has still many active volcanoes, including the Pico del Teide, which is the island’s highest point (3,718 m) and also the highest point of the Spain.  In Tenerife in a single day can see the whole world: green, flowers and banana plantations in the north, rugged coastlines hot and dry in the south.
