Jaye He, the new museum of Mumbai attempting to overcome the Louvre

Airports are increasingly important, and increasingly in the spotlight of our daily lives, with some differences though. In the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport , as it is called Mumbai airport, has opened a new terminal earlier this month , by not only making ​​it even bigger and more functional one of the busiest airports in the world, but it also gave via to the largest museum in India.

Presented on February the 12th, the 2nd Terminal is impressive only for its numbers. Relying on the 40 million passengers who pass through the airport each year, the museum could seriously exceed the number of visitors to the Louvre in Paris.

There are about 7,000 works on display in the museum, visited only by those who are in possession of a ticket, collections and museums from all over India, designed to illustrate the history and art of this great country. And there is even modern art, representing more than 100 specially commissioned works from the museum to modern and established Indian artists.

Not only does the museum and shopping center coexist , as well as 21,000 square meters of shopping , but also the garden, in fact the new airport also has 4,925 square meters of gardens that make it ( another record ), one of the largest gardens airport in India.
