A friend of mine won a weekend in Naples a city that you know you’ll always return to. Since the fast train connects Naples to Rome, the journey is no longer an excuse to postpone the visit. The only thing to watch out for is to move in advance in order to get a cheaper price for the ticket. As always I asked him to tell me “This time, what did you like about the visit?”. Surprisingly enough this time it was not a church, a square, or an exhibition, but a restaurant, the restaurant in Pignata.

He told me they found it after doing research on the web. Central, economic, and above all good. “Look, as usual we had starters and main, sweet and drinks. Cheap price. It was good! Not so much the appetizers, however varied and good, but the pasta was awesome. With seafood and homemade. Really good.” The advice? Best to book early else you might have trouble finding a table.

Therefore it is recommended, though not with the same transport. Also staying at the Palazzo Caracciolo, walking to spaccanapoli and a visit to the Catacombs of San Gennaro, probably the greatest monument of Christianity in Naples, are good ideas.
