At the last edition of the B & B day I took the opportunity to give me a little vacation in the beloved Amalfi Coast, one of the most luxury travel spots of Italy. This charming, if not extraordinary stretch of coast which enchants and mesmerizes any visitor. Among the participating places of stay I chose Dolce Sunset Furore. I was attracted not only to the great reviews but also because they do not offer a single room but an entire small apartment with kitchen and living room. Within half an hour of booking we met the owner, Mary who on the phone was very friendly and helpful. In fact, as soon as we arrived to greet us with her was the husband with whom we exchanged a few words and offered us a cup of coffee, distributed city maps, maps for the tourist routes and a few leaflets with the best restaurants and pizzerias in the area.

The hotel was a small two story building set in the countryside but with a view overlooking the Amalfi Coast: Amalfi on the left and Positano on the right with Li Galli a short distance away. The small archipelago of islands according to ancient Greek mythology was inhabited by sensual mermaids who bewitched the sailors.

Although there were only two of us we were given an apartment for four people called the Sunset. The apartment was located on the top floor and its terrace offered a breathtaking view. In addition to the two bedrooms and bathroom there was a large kitchen, living room with all the equipment necessary for any kind of culinary tradition, a clear sign that is popular with international guests. Simplicity, functionality and cleanliness were evident in every detail of our apartment. Included in the price we also had parking in those areas. The total for two nights for two people was 140 € but with the promotion of B & B day down to 70 euro.

The strategic location of Dolce Sunset allows us to reach Amalfi, Ravello, Positano and Scala in less than an hour. The weekend ended without notice and we were so happy with this adventure that we intend to return as soon as possible to explore more of the beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
