Why not start this holiday off just right? If you’re flying from the UK take advantage of convenient Edinburgh Airport parking or if your coming from Ireland Dublin Airport parking

The city of San Francisco in California is one of diverse arts, fine cuisine, colorful festivals, and fantastic architecture. Don’t miss a chance to see the most photographed bridge in the world, the famous grand red arches of the Golden Gate Bridge. Bring your camera and enjoy free parking at the bridge. One of the best ways to see glimpse the stunning views of San Francisco Bay is from the back of a bicycle on the Golden Gate Bridge. Another great place to experience the Pacific coast is a visit to Point Bonita Lighthouse and the surrounding Marin Headlands. Just a short distance from the bridge, view the coast from hiking trails for some of the best views of the Golden Gate and San Francisco Bay at a distance. The hike is fun and filled with delightful surroundings a museum and sanctuary. The windy beach below beats to tides of pristine waters and you can take it all in from the outlook of the dramatic vista. Stick around to experience a brilliant California sunset over an endless horizon of ocean.

Take a day to travel to Alcatraz, a spooky look into the interior of this old maximum security prison. Operating from 1934-1963, this prison out in the San Francisco Bay is sure to send a chill down your spine as you step into a vivid history of the past. I highly recommend the Alcatraz Night Tour for an eerie activity, best enjoyed amongst a group of friends. Be sure to let the bravest soul go first! Another night activity much enjoyed by the locals of San Francisco is a good old magic show. The San Francisco Magic show is 60 minutes of hilarious and family friendly entertainment. Check out the Marrakech Magic Theater for performances by professional magician Peter Morrison. This amazing magic show is held in an intimate setting and gives the audience a chance to experience the magic first hand! The talented Peter Morrison conducts a show with lots of guest interaction. From September to November enjoy the opera season by seeing a different opera every night! Very rarely are they repeated during this season. In the summertime, opera season is in June and July, and a variety of productions are also staged.

To escape the city, visit the mysterious Muir Woods just north of San Francisco. These giant redwood trees give the forest an ancient feel that leaves the mind at peace. These enormous trees hold much wisdom, and are a great escape into the outdoors. If you are like me, wine calls to you. The Sonoma and Napa Valleys of Northern California are known as wine country. Take the Wine Country Trolley, or book a bike or kayak wine tour. You won’t want to miss this chance to taste the bouquet of fine wines in the vast valleys of the California. If you want to stay close to the city, Golden Gate Park is a perfect alternative to take a stroll under the sun. This large park contains some fantastic garden areas, history museums and art galleries. Here you will find the California Academy of Sciences, Shakespeare Garden and a serene Japanese Tea Garden. Check the park schedule for concerts and festivals that make the experience all worthwhile.

Upon the return home, rest at ease on the plane knowing your car is waiting at parking at east midlands airport.

The majestic San Francisco Bay is waiting for you in California!
