Air travel, especially on international flights involving a stopover make for not a healthy walk with the stress and worry of departure often exacerbated by the confusion that reigns at airports. Of these situations have thought those at the airport Schiphol in Amsterdam when they designed this park.

Last month the company that manages Schiphol established this park. The first airport park in the world, 20,000 square meters in the park of the international airport outside of the security and passport control.

The park aims to instill a bit of serenity with a technique that designers have called mixed reality. The plants and trees are interspersed with posters of famous parks all over the world, projections of butterflies in flight, animal sounds, bells of bicycles and children’s playground. Passengers can also enjoy a little fresh air on the outdoor terrace.

The park also has an airport bar, commercial kiosks and a mobile phone charging station powered by stationary bikes, the ecological and useful series. All this, of course, free to the public located in hall 1, Pier D.
