The luxury group of Grace Hotels, has acquired the historic Hotel La Margna in the heart of St. Moritz, Switzerland. During 2014, the company will implement an extensive program of renovation and conversion to create Grace St. Moritz and St. Moritz Residences, a luxury hotel and a residential complex, with services that will be built according to high standards of luxury, thanks to which the Grace Hotels enjoys global acceptance.

The Hotel La Margna was built in 1906 and is one of the hotel buildings/landmarks of St. Moritz, which remains one of the most glamorous summer and winter destinations in the world and is considered a benchmark for winter sports since its inception in the late 19th century. The St. Moritz has twice hosted the Winter Olympic Games and is the home of the Cresta Run, the famous racetrack sled toboggan. The hotel faces south with panoramic views of the lake and the valley and the resort is just minutes from upscale shopping and restaurants that make the city meeting point of the international jet set.

Upon completion of the renovations, the hotel features 36 rooms and suites, and serviced apartments, overlooking the lake. It has three restaurants, the main restaurant offering a brand new, international scope, sophisticated dining experience. The classic Swiss restaurant specializes in local cuisine, the third restaurant will offer food throughout the day. A bar for a drink and a cigar to complement the dining experience for visitors. The hotel has private parking and is just two minutes walk from the railway station and bus station.

The Spa, Grace St. Moritz will be completely redesigned in order to create a luxurious place for healing, wellness and relaxation. The plans include a new gym and pool with dramatic architectural elements. The ski facilities will be upgraded to the highest standards, with the construction of a modernized and fully equipped hall ski equipment.

The St. Moritz is often regarded as the birthplace of winter tourism, and was established as a resort in the Alps in 1864. This premier winter sports destination with go 350 km. It is also one of the Swiss resorts with the highest altitude, and is 1,800 meters. Besides skiing, St. Moritz offers many options for sports and entertainment throughout the year, such as including hiking, hiking in the snow with a driver and cycling, golf, roller skates, wind surfing, tennis and sailing. The village and surrounding area take place many artistic and cultural events, and there are world class shops and restaurants.
