The great exhibitions of the British Museum in London for 2013

As every year the British Museum in London, alongside with its permanent exhibition has a major series of special exhibitions. This year they did not break this rule with 4 major exhibitions, the most important of which dedicated to Pompei and Herculaneum. For sure one of the 5 most important exhibitions in London in 2013.

It starts with Art in the Ice Age: The beginning of modern thought from February 7 to May 26. The exhibition will feature artifacts from Europe such as ceramics, drawings and personal ornaments dating from between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago. The objective is to know the personal items of our ancestors who could carry them through their migration.
British Museum interior
Life and death in Pompeii and Herculaneum as already mentioned will be the event of the year for the British. The objects that will be on display are from both Roman cities buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79, from 28 March to 29 September.
