The province where the beaches of Ecuador are is Santa Elena Salinas which is part of its biggest tourist attraction. It is a destination that enjoys sunshine, fun and entertainment every day of the year. It is located 141 km away from Guayaquil which is a journey of an hour’s drive. You can get directly by cruise or by plane from Guayaquil to Salinas as you may land on the military base.

In Salinas, the place you can not miss is called Chocolatera, is located within the Naval Base of the place and is part of the most prominent tip of the peninsula. It is a gray sand beach most suitable for water sports like surfing, windsurfing, sailing and kayaking. It is also the ideal place for jet skiing, beach volleyball and fishing deep. From Salinas you may see dazzling humpback whales swim close to the shore during the summer.

On this beach you will find luxury accommodations and it is a very safe area where fun is assured day and night. Across the boardwalk you will see a lot of places to eat, drink or dance. In your culture tour, do not miss the Naval Archeological Museum which is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
