Have you ever heard of the Big E? If you have never seen the Big E, it is recommended to spend your vacation here to see horse shows and collie trials. In the Northeast, this is even said to be the largest fair and is a home of Craz E Burger and E Cream Puff. The place is close to shopping malls and restaurants nearby. At the same time, the prices of goods there are just right and the people are really pleasant. They can even go beyond so that they will help visitors like you.

So, what is the Big E? This is also known as the Eastern States Exposition. It is termed also as the state fair in New England and more people are enjoying the fair because of the fact that it connects to six states of New England. It includes those from Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Massachusetts as well. Each of these states are said to be represented during the fair. Each state is presenting their agricultural products during the state fair. Another great fact about this fair is that it is also considered to be the  6th of the largest fairs in the country for the agriculture industry.

The Big E is located in the region of Knowledge Corridor. Considering the place, it is across the Memorial Bridget and the city of Massachusetts Springfield. This is held during autumn and usually opens on the second Friday of the month. Generally, it runs for about 17 days and starts after the Labor Day. It was during the year 1917 that the Expo started and since then it never missed a year. Originally, Joshua L. Brooks is the one who conceived it. His main purpose is that he wants to help to boost the farming industry of the region. It is because there are great displays of industry innovations and there are also various competitions held to encourage the state farmers to improve themselves because of the Exposition.

There are smaller replicas of the 6 statehouses and then the Grange House of the New England itself. With these buildings, there are vendors and exhibits to be seen. Visitors will have the taste of exotic cuisine in the region. You will also witness various traditions. The event is also something that showcases the history of the place. The said Big E is also a shopping haven as you can find shops that are selling unique items. Many travelers consider this as a souvenir shopping spree to the end. You may purchase some products that are sold among the statehouses which is a good way to remember that you attended the event.
