Luxury Destinations

1. The Maldives

The Maldives have become synonymous with tropical luxury and deservedly so. The myriad of islands and resorts cater to the upmarket traveller seeking sun, escapism and romanticism, with glorious white powder beaches, sparkling turquoise waters and leafy tropical scenery. The clear waters make the Maldives a superb destination for scuba diving and snorkelling. Accommodation options range for romantic breaks on isolated resorts to livelier resorts on the larger islands. Other popular activities include boat trips and various water sports, while chic spas and delicious tropical cuisine make for a truly luxurious experience.

2. Anguilla

One of the more exclusive destinations in the Caribbean, this island offers luxurious hotels and villas along with some of the most upmarket restaurants in the region. The sugary white beaches are stunning as are the glistening aquamarine waters. Anguilla has a typical laid back Caribbean charm and is one of the less crowded islands.

3. Dubai

With some of the most upmarket and exclusive hotels and restaurants in the world, Dubai has become renowned for its Arabian glitz and glamour. The weather is perfect in the winter months, usually in the high twenties. Top tourist attractions include the beautiful beaches, the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel, the tallest building in the world (Burj Khalifa) and the largest shopping centre in the world (Dubai Mall). For the adventurous, there are various activities from 4×4 desert safaris to indoor skiing.

4. Egypt

Egypt offers the traveller a glimpse into another world, an ancient and exotic world of pyramids, Pharaohs and glorious landscapes. Luxor makes for a good starting point for Nile cruises and has several upmarket hotels, while the Red Sea is one of the top destinations in the world for scuba diving. Resorts such as Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh offer a range of hotels, with many family friendly options.

5. Miami

For chic clubs and bars and fashionable hotels and restaurants, it is hard to beat Miami. Style and decadence are everything here. Miami is famous for its Art Deco architecture and features a number of exhibitions and cultural events on the theme. Whether your thing is sipping cocktails in hip bars, browsing galleries or partying, Miami is perfect.
