Even the most assiduous frequenters of the island will probably be used to landing in Portoferraio in the summer months, the most crowded and warm areas where the water has the right temperature but the island is full of tourists and is influenced by AFA and heat. Those lucky enough to visit the island of Elba in the spring instead, despite having to deprive a refreshing bath in its wonderful sea (or at least having to limit the stay to soak) have the opportunity to see lush green surroundings, rich in springs and overflowing with flowers.

Of course, many restaurants are closed, the bathing establishments are still painting the fences and there are huge attractions. But the beauty of nature and the colors of the city illuminated by a light beam not overly worth the trip.

Pirates are Back
Some of the beaches most popular and easy to access are Walls, In love, Lacona and Fetovaia. The pebble beaches hidden at the bottom of secluded coves are almost deserted, appropriately sunny and frequented by seagulls intoxicated by human companionship. The shops, squares and waterfront of Porto Azzurro and Portoferraio are always packed and are quite generous in parking lots, while the docks and platforms are already full of yachts and enormous sailboats to admire while eating ice cream.
