The small principality of the Côte d’Azur is surrounded on three sides by France and on the fourth by the Mediterranean and is the most populous state in the world. The most famous city in the country of Monegasque, as it is called by its inhabitants, is Monte Carlo’s famous casino and racing of Formula 1.
The Most Serene Republic of San Marino, as is the official name, is located on the Italian Peninsula and is the oldest state in Europe, having been founded in 301 by a Christian stonecutter who settled there trying to escape the persecution of Diocletian. Symbol of the country Rocca Della Guaita, τo medieval castle that overlooks the city and includes an observatory, bell tower, the church of Agia Varvara and fortress-prison.
Located in the central Pacific Ocean, between Hawaii and Australia, and are cluster of 29 coral atolls and thousands of islets scattered. The average annual temperature in this secluded paradise is 24 degrees Celsius.
With an area of just half a square kilometer and more than 800 residents, the Vatican comfortable wins the title of the smallest country in the world. Yet this country on the west side of the Tiber may have a greater influence worldwide even from across Italy. You will see major landmarks such as St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, among others. Usually tails are great for the Vatican Museums, so book your tickets through the Internet.
