Located in the southern part of Germany in Bavaria, Monaco is one of the most important cities in Europe both from the economic and touristic point of view. Known primarily for the typical traditional costumes and as the site of a beer festival, Monaco is primarily a city of art. To be able to summarize in a few words the artistic attractions of Monaco is really impossible. Among the most famous of course is the Frauenkirche which with its two domed towers dominates the city. Begin your journey in Monaco climbing the towers. There is a small kiosk where you can buy a card on which you will be given a special stamp to commemorate your visit. In addition, from the towers you will be able to enjoy an exceptional view over the city. Continue your holiday visiting the Church of San Michele, an impressive Renaissance building dating back to the sixteenth century. Instead of Baroque style is the Theatinerkirche located in Odeonsplatz which houses inside the tombs of some of the most important rulers of Bavaria.

The center of Monaco is certainly the Marienplatz where there is the Church of St. Peter and the Neues Rathaus. The New Town is a neo Gothic building dating back to the nineteenth century. You will without a doubt be fascinated by the lines and the colors which are a bit dark and of course you will be speechless after viewing the Glockenspiel, one of the largest carillon in the world that you can see.

If you have children they will certainly not be bored at the Old Town Hall which has now become home to the Toy Museum, a museum dedicated to the history of toys. End your visit to Monaco to Nymphenburg Palace, a huge Baroque palace that housed during the summer months the royal family. You can visit the interior of the castle and admire antique furniture and important collections of art but also a quiet stroll in the park which is home to fountains and gardens.
