Founded last year, the Maltalingua English Language School is a great place to learn English. It’s one of the few schools on the Maltese islands with British ownership, and it has quickly built upa dynamic, highly qualified team of native-speaker teachers. Classes have no more than 12 students, with an average of six to eight. Maltalingua students report that they feel motivated in the classroom and that they enjoy the individual attention they get from their teachers. The school’s location in St. Julian’s, north of the capital city of Valletta, is another draw. Situated directly on the coast, St. Julian’s is a popular destination for both tourists and locals. At Maltalingua, students have class in modern facilities located just 100 metres from the sea. A rooftop terrace, private swimming pool, and free wi-fiare available for students’ use.

The affordable accommodation options include nearby hotels, shared apartments, or placement with Maltese host families. Maltalingua offers instruction for every level, from beginner to advanced, and for different purposes. The Standard English course gives a half day of instruction, leaving the afternoons free for exploring the island and relaxing in the sun. An intensive “crash course” is also available, with 30 lessons per week. More specialized classes are also offered for business English, exam preparation, and one-to-one tutoring. The staff also organize activities for students’ free time – everything from a tour of Valletta’s rich cultural heritage to a coastal road trip on the island of Gozo. Teachers often participate in these activities, giving students the opportunity to practise what they’ve learned in the classroom in real life.
