The beach of Damnoni is about 38 km from Rethymno and 6 km from Plakias, in the southern part of the island of Crete, in the part of the Mediterranean sea. The main beach is well organized with umbrellas and chairs with small taverns nearby and it is never crowded. This is a reason why, in a cove in the shelter of rocks, a small stretch of beach is usually occupied by nudists.

Behind the beach is the Hapimag Damnoni resort, a village well organized and its apartments offer a swimming pool, bar and restaurant, beach services, covered parking, games, and more. The apartments, as Claudio tells us, can also be rented from non-members of Hapimag.
