Although tickets to this year’s Oshega Music & Arts festival have sold out, this huge celebration of creativity is held annually and is not one to miss. Held in August at the stunning Parc Jean-Drapeau, this three-day indie event attracts the biggest names in the industry. This year will see over 80 acts descend across five stages to thrill and entertain the crowds. This year’s headliners are The Cure, Beck and Mumford & Sons, with a huge selection of different sound and genres to suit everyone’s tastes.

Montreal Comic-Con

Dig out your Spock ears and Batman masks as Comic-Con visits Montreal. On 13th-15th September, the pop culture convention will unfold in the Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle, showcasing everything from sci-fi to horror, anime to video games, comic books to pro wrestling. A huge host of special guests will be in attendance, with different attractions, exhibits and activities catering to fans of every sort.

Full Tilt Poker Montreal Festival

This year crowds of poker fans will be heading to Montreal to take part in the 13-days of action that the Full Tilt Poker Festival has to offer. There is something for casual players and pros alike, with buy-ins ranging from $50 + $10 to a massive $1,000 + $100 for the Main Event, which guarantees a whopping $1 million prize pool. The event takes place at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake between 21st September and 3rd October. The Cinemania festival is the perfect attraction for film fans. The annual event presents French-language films that boast originality and excellent quality.
