Did you miss out on all the adventure your friends raved about on social media last year? Don’t be sad. It’s still the start of the year, which means that you’ve still got plenty of time to plan your vacation.
Going to the beach should definitely be on top of your travel bucket list this year. There is just too many beautiful beach destinations just waiting for you to discover them. Besides, nothing beats the feeling of just lying on the sand all day, working on your tan and not having a care in the world. So, if you’re determined to enjoy a few days at an island paradise, here are some essentials you should never forget to pack:
Be comfortable with what you wear by choosing the right swimsuit for your body shape. For example, if your chest and hips are approximately the same width, fake your curves by wearing swimsuits with frills, ruffles, gatherings and paddings. These pieces will also make you look more feminine, neutralizing your athletic body shape.
Naturally, you’ll want to explore the island, so be sure to bring the appropriate clothes. However, since most island destinations are humid, it’s best to wear light and easy pieces of garments. These can be playsuits, maxi dresses, shorts, skirts and crop tops. Make sure to choose those made of breathable fabrics to ensure you’ll be comfortable whatever you’re doing.
If you don’t want to expose too much skin, you can wear cover-ups like kaftans, tunics, maxi dresses, ponchos and rompers that are made of sheer fabric or chiffon. But, make sure you go for pieces that don’t drown your frame. Instead, opt for those that hide flaws and highlight your assets.
When strolling at the beach, you can never go wrong with flip-flops. But if you’ll be checking out tourist attractions in the island, it’s best to go for other comfortable footwear like sandals, canvas shoe or trainers.
You’ll need a good pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun’s glare. It’s also best to go for a wide-brimmed hat, which offers more coverage.
Don’t forget to bring a beach bag where you can place all your essentials.
With these tips in mind, surely you’ll be comfortable and look appropriate when in a beautiful island.
