The country of Japan has been a dream destination for a lot of travellers. Perhaps, this is because Japan is undoubtedly a beautiful country to visit and Japanese culture is without doubt great to explore. As a matter of fact, as you visit this country, there are a lot of things that will really amaze you. To be exact, there are at least 10 things you wouldn’t expect to find in Japan. This is compared to other destination spots in the world.

One of those things is the Oura Church that can be found in the city of Nagasaki. This is a Roman Catholic church that was built after the end of the Seclusion Policy by the government of Japan in 1853. This church is also recognized as the church of the twenty-six Japanese Martyrs as you can find the bodies of the heroes buried in the place. For several years, it was the only western-style structure and was announced as a national treasure in 1933 and 1953 which is actually under the Law for the Protection of Cultural Properties. More importantly, the Oura Church is considered to be the oldest church in Japan.

Another thing that will really amaze you in Japan is the replica of the Statue of Liberty. As a matter of fact, this is one of the two replicas; one was made in New York. This Statue of Liberty was sent in Tokyo, Japan in 1998 to recognize the French Year in Japan. It was very popular that an imitation was erected in the year of 2000 after the original was sent back to Paris. Actually, you can find two lady liberties in the country of Japan.

The third one is the Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Garden in Taito, Tokyo, Japan. This western-style residence is the former Iwasaki Family’s house who happen to be the founders of Mitsubishi which is the leading car makers today. Old Iwasaki House is the meaning of the Kyu-Iwasaki-tei. This property is composed of three buildings, a Japanese house, a Western-style house which was designed by the British architect named Josiah Conder, and a billiard house. This covers an area of approximately 17,000 square meters.
